On Saturday, June, 26th, MESAC participated in the National Field Day Event, setting up portable communications in the Costa Mesa City Hall parking lot. Examiners provided testing for FCC licensing, while numerous volunteers set up and demonstrated communications on High Frequency (HF), Very High Frequency (VHF) and Ultra High Frequency (UHF) bands. MESAC was also able to communicate via the International Space Station repeater during its pass overhead. We tested Goal Zero Inverters and solar panels and were able to test our MESH and Winlink capabilities.
